dlaing Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 I don't know if the alternator EuroMotoElectrics is developing will work on new Guzzis, but at the very least, he is a source for starters... From the GuzziTech forum Just had a conversation with John Rayski at Euro Motoelectrics. He is developing a 450 watt/32 amp alternator kit for Guzzis (permanent magnet alternator, electronic regulator/rectifier with low-voltage monitoring LED warning lamp). Specifications at http://63.135.101.225/database/mcinventory...&search_fd0=139 indicate that the voltage output is considerably higher than any other system available for Guzzis (see the graph in Guzziology), so it could be a good deal. He hopes to have kits ready by July. I'm thinking of trying his system. His website is http://www.euromotoelectrics.com/ for anyone interested, as he has lots of other electrical component stuff for Guzzis. I have no affiliation or financial interest in Euro Motoelectrics. Shane Ditto on the no affiliation, etc...
v50man Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 I bought a Valeo starter for my V50 from this guy. He was very helpful and his delivery was fast. Price was damn good.
callison Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 The specs say the model year ends at 1995. Uncertain if that is just BMW's (probably) or includes MG's too. More information required. Sure as heck would be nice to have that much current available though.
