belfastguzzi Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 I had my tranny done here in March and after the recall it runs like a hot knife in cold butter. 51105[/snapback] Søren you had a transmission recall on a 2002 Scura? I thought that it was for earlier years. How did you get the recall information?
Mike Stewart Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Joe, I was going to pull my transmission sidecover off and machine a larger pin to fix the oil leak and hopefully make the trans have fewer false neutrals. BUT after seeing the problem you had, I think I will get one from Guzzi even though it may take many months Mike
Alex-Corsa Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 I immediately pulled over and discovered trannie oil flowing (not dripping) out of the left side case. Closer inspection revealed a machined hole about the size of a dime. Well, my guess is this hole is where the trannie sidecase was "repaired" with a machining process instead of replacing the entire sidecase (which was "unavailable"). Does anybody at MGNA care about their customer base? Why have your bike off for months, try giving a call to Agostini and order the part(s) you need(there is English Speaking personel i.e.Peter is Australian).I can assure you they'll have it delivered. Then you can go to a descent dealership with the new parts and fix the bike. AGOSTINI-MG All the best
