Guest ckamin
Did you just blow off the paint with the bike intact and touch up the engine while still assembled, in the bike?
Dan M
Sorry to say, but this is just the start... Just do a forum search for "wrinkle engine paint" and you'll find lots of threads. 50997[/snapback] My 02 has no signs of flaking yet. Anybody know of any way to prevent it? If you are somehow lucky enough to have one that never bubbles up.... count your blessings. But I have no idea how any preventative measures could be taken. al
francesco
did anybody try to sandblast the wrinkle engine paint off? http://www.guzzisti.it/forum/phpBB2/viewto...highlight=bolle they are talking about a silicon spray that would prevent the bubbles any idea? DeBenGuzzi
I got two great ideas, have it taken off sandblasted and then thrown in for some Powder coating. OR change out the case of a silver one there solved. sorry to hear about all the poor paint really.

richard100t
I was wondering...what kind of paint would I want to buy if I want to paint over a silver rear drive, to match the black wrinkle paint. Can you buy a can of wrinkle paint? If not what would work best? Should I use primer over the silver paint first? Lol just a few questions today I'm really in withdrawal since my rear drive gear broke. Oh well I should have the replacement in next week sometime.
