V11S K&N Air Filter Replacement

Several lists have posted a K&N replacement air filter for Moto Guzzi. The number that keeps comming up is K&N 33-2682. I measured the air filter on my 2000 Sport and tried to find this filter on the K&N website using their "search air filters by dimension" with no luck. Is this part number for another model of Guzzi? Does anyone know if there is a K&N part number for a 2000 V11S? Thanks, Tracy...

 

The dimensions of my filter are 8.75 X 5.25" (gasket measured edge-to-edge)

or

8.375 X 4.875 (filter element only)

Hmmmm, interesting....

I got a little better results by going here

and entering:

panel type filter

Dim A Range 8.0-8.8

Dim B Range 4.75-5.3

Dim H Range 0.5-3.0

The result was part number 33-2006 Dim A 8.125 Dim B 5.250 Dim H 1.250

Perhaps a loose fit???

 

by fattening up the search I found that 33-2682 is 8.875 x 5.250 x 1.063 perhaps a tight fit???

The 33-2682 appears to be an exact fit. The K&N search engine has to be "played" with to make it work. Thank you for your help. I'll order the filter and let you know if it really fits. Tracy...
