The ONLY reason for a crouched position is for aerodynamic drag reduction, oh... except for those who think they look cool laying flat on the tank, I guess that's a good reason for some. We were all beginners at one time. Try a supermotard bike, then put clip-ons on it and you'll understand what I mean.
