cross over/smog can

I know this has been discussed before but I can't find the correct search term

 

My new x-over doesn't have a mount for the little smog can that resides under my 03 LeMans... I see several vacume lines running to it.. what should I do with them??

That's your evaporative emission-control canister. The very best place for that particular item is at the bottom of the nearest circular file, along with the tubes attached to it. Put automotive-style vacuum plugs (avbl. from any auto parts outlet) on the barbed brass fittings on the intake manifolds. Ride. Smile. Ride more. Smile more.

 

If you're not close to an auto parts place, run one of the tubes between the brass fittings. It accomplishes the same forward progress toward moto-nirvana.

I dumped mine with no ill effect - and it looks better without it.
