dmoon64 Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 Hey Guys, Ignoring all I read on this forum I'm picking up my 2003 Lemans tonight. $8100 out the door 2828 miles on odo. I am so looking forward to this weekend. I'm going to try and make the Rally in Illinois on Saturday. I met Jim and Barb at Ned's yesterday, what nice people. Also ran into JRT out there. Thanks for your input. I look forward to years of happy Guzzi ownership. Now my wife wants the Breva. Darryl
dmoon64 Posted May 20, 2005 Author Posted May 20, 2005 Now I need: 1. Throttle Lock 2. Tank Bags 3. Saddle Bags 4. Handlebar risers (maybe I'm going to live with it for awhile) The clock is running backwards now. AAARRRRRRGGGHHHHH!
GuzziHutch Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 Hey Darryl, That's great news and you're gonna love it. I just purchased my '03 Lemans last October and it was the best decision I had made in years! Have a great time buddy! Joe
Guest Dave Pott Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 The clock is running backwards now. AAARRRRRRGGGHHHHH! Yeah, the clock problem doesn't ever seem to get better...especially on fridays Commuting on it will help somewhat.
dmoon64 Posted May 20, 2005 Author Posted May 20, 2005 Hey Joe, We just moved to Iowa last year. I was in Thomasville NC. Is the Guzzi dealer the BMW guy in Charlotte? Darryl
Guest bshpilot Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 I look forward to years of happy Guzzi ownership. 52277 you wont have to LOOK too far...and you wont need glasses thats for sure ! kidding...its no honda...its much cooler even w/ its faults ! enjoy and congrats
dbdicker Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 Now I need: 1. Throttle Lock 2. Tank Bags 3. Saddle Bags 4. Handlebar risers (maybe I'm going to live with it for awhile) The clock is running backwards now. AAARRRRRRGGGHHHHH! 52278 congrats. Continue to ignore all you read here. You'll live longer and happier 1. throttlemeister heavy model 2. Guzzi brand tankbag 3. forget saddle bags, buy the Ventura T-bag system 4. MPH risers or the Williamsville. Now, when you have all 4 of those installed (as I do ) just go ride forever.
dbdicker Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 Yeah, the clock problem doesn't ever seem to get better...especially on fridays <_> Commuting on it will help somewhat. 52280 Hey Dave! Where'd the dancing banana go?? I sure loved that guy!
al_roethlisberger Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 Welcome to the club. If we move to Raleigh this Summer, maybe I'll see you around! I am in Raleigh right now looking around. Is there even a Guzzi dealer around these parts? al
jrt Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 Nice to meet you too, Dave! Congrats! Be sure and ride the 'great river road'...well, you'll be on part of it this weekend. Check out C9Y north of Dubuque...the best road in your parts and close! Cheers, Jason edit: see you at the rally saturday- Sonya and I'll be there (I'll prolly be on my Eldorado, though)
GuzziHutch Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 Hey Darryl, The Guzzi dealer in Charlotte is NOT the BMW-Ducati dealer but a mom and pop dealership about 3 miles down the road from the BMW dealer. Name of the place is Union Cycle, run by Carl and Dorothy Merrill. Nice folks, small shop. There is also a dealer in Asheville called Myers Ducati that carries Guzzi, Triumph and something else. Hope this helps. Joe
