quazi-moto Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 Sometimes when I try to fire up my '02 LeMans it almost seems like the amp draw from the starter is too much for the battery to deal with. I just replaced the original battery with an Odyssey PC545 and its still reacting the same way. I've always ASSumed that a relay either works or it doesn't, but now I'm wondering if I should try a Bosch relay.
jrt Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 Check that the contacts (battery, relay and starter) are clean.
Guest Nogbad Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 The high current connection is direct to the starter through the solenoid contact from the battery. As above, clean all the connections and check the grounds.
