al_roethlisberger Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 I got a pair of prototype velocity stacks for my V11 from this guy.. guzzidave@hotmail.com they're AWESOME.. They weren't too expensive either, shoot him an email. Great guy, really nice and great feedback via email. Can't say enough good things. Here is a pic of my Guzzi with the stacks on her.. This is on our way to Mid-Ohio for the vintage races.. camping gear baby! TinyE 55737 Yeah, I've asked for these for Christmas I'm ordering with both the UNI and K&N filters to see which works out better. My conversation with Dave Blunk said they don't know which flows/protects better, but went with the UNI initially simply because they were lighter. http://www.sportcyclepacific.com/featureditems.htm
big J Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 For gawds sake, dont fit K&N's,Ratchet'll be down beating you over the head with a Marzocchi fork spring.
al_roethlisberger Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Heh, yeah... I've lurking on that thread ..and finally just posted a quickie But I've been running the K&Ns on bikes for years with no known ill-effects. If I do get the kit above, I plan to buy both the UNI and K&N filters that fit the stacks and just see which works out better. The kit comes with UNIs, but they'll send some K&Ns with it for another $50. al

al_roethlisberger Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Wow, now that is an excellent idea I'll get right on that, along with a device to provide carefully "measured" exposure to finely sorted particulates evenly to both cylinder intakes.

He has pods and he's a scientist specialising in very small things I couldn't think of anyone more suitably qualified.
debidaph Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Very nice. Where d'you get em/ how much? 71475 TAKE 2 K&N FILTERS CUT OUT ENDS BOND/GLUE ON TO VELOCITY STACKS. EASY!!!!!!!

EASY!!!!!!! 71504 But where do you get the velocity stacks from? Well, you also have to rig-up some sort of bracketry to support the side-panels if you've removed your airbox... which I did a while back: Pods versus Lidless I actually like the looks of the side panels, but go with or without at times depending on the mood
DeBenGuzzi Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 I find it funny the damn things run better WITHOUT anything in the way of the TB's.... makes me wonder Hmmmm. just put a fluted Velocity stack on there and install a mesh screen baddabing youre done. Cause honestly I don't know how any craps gonna get in there and I don't think it will shave more than a few miles off the end of the life of the bike. I mean come on smoke up it only kills you in the end right?
