al_roethlisberger Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Here are some photos of the bike: Dr. Gil's New 2002 LeMans - Champagne ...and see: Orson's attempt to have MG take over Sport-Touring.Net Thread
Dr Gil Posted July 14, 2005 Author Posted July 14, 2005 Is this by chance a champagne V11 Le Mans from the infamous Dave Gross? (dkgross on this board) You'll get a bike that is perfectly sorted! 56115 Nope, sorry to disappoint it isn't Dave's bike. The previous owner (I now own the bike although don't possess it yet...that comes later this evening) is a fellow named John. Still, I'm putting on the brave face in spite of its not being Dave's bike. I'm SOOO excited!
dlaing Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Orson's attempt to have MG take over Sport-Touring.Net Thread 56150 Thanks Al! I think we should all go join ST.net and Democratically rule by superior numbers. Apparently the Ducatis still have the lead... Did I mention they give out free Capuccino to Guzzi owners? PS Welcome Dr. Gil. to the Guzzi Universe!
Skeeve Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 "atsa nice!" 56202 Yeah, but those red valve covers look out of place! I'll trade you the black ones off my spankin' new anthracite 2003, whaddaya say? Congrats to the proud Papa! PS: you might want to look into relocating the fuel pump to the location Guzzi used on the Tenni to avoid hot-start vapor-lock issues. Look into it in the archives here; it seems to be about the only complaint about the 2002s vs. later models that I've noticed. Ride on!
jrt Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Well, how ya like it? 56204 You'll get your answer in a couple days when he gets back.
Dr Gil Posted July 18, 2005 Author Posted July 18, 2005 Jeeze...the pressure! Ok, here (with only owning it for 4 days and having put like 150 miles so far) is my take on this bad boy. Impressions so far Gil

Ride on! 56277 Actually, if you check the link to the photos the seller posted, as well as the thread on Sport-Touring.net linked somewhere earlier, you'll find that the good Dr's 2002 is apparently a "late model" 2002, as his fuel pump is indeed in the Centauro/Sport1100i "out front" location already So he should be set pretty good to have a better chance at avoiding vapor lock
