PEPPERONI BROS. Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 OK, I'm gonna try this again, all those months in the garage have dulled my 'puter skills!
Van Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Well, about six hours by car (4 by tenni?) but it's a straight shot; only two whore houses, a couple of gas stations, a LOT of rock shops(I don't know- this particular bit of Nevada culture evades me) and an Army weapons depot and you're there! As for the tail rack, I'm not sure to be honest-the top box that attaches to it is an Aprilia unit, so that would be my guess- PO had it on there when I got the bike. I do know that it's pretty friggin heavy, though! (pulled it off for some electrical work). 66578 Hey !! do you have any good roads there or are they all flat and straight?? Cheers Van
Van Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Just one more! 66764 Nice Bike Mister!!! Cheers van

slug Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Here's the Dirty Bird. Dirty Bird now has Napoleon bar end mirrors mounted through the brake/clutch lever pivots. Dirty Bird needs a bath.
Martin Barrett Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Here's mine frost coated at 0815 this am, Luckily not the 0615 if I was on day shift. I hope to be able to get her back into the garage next week. But the car looks more tempting for the commute in on days like this.

Nothing a little plastic and a few pop rivets can't fix...
PEPPERONI BROS. Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Nice Bike Mister!!! Cheers van 67350 Thanks, I was just up in your part of the world this summer, ferrying my buddies 1100 GS from NorCal to spectacular Salt Spring Island, then flying back in another friend's '52 Cessena 170. A great adventure!
felix42o Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Hey !!do you have any good roads there or are they all flat and straight?? Cheers Van 67349 There's quite a bit of good riding here, actually. (I have been surprised) But yes, there is a lot of flat, open (and pretty much police-free) road as well. It's pretty diverse-Tahoe to the west, Virginia City southwest, Lee Vining, Mono Lake... and a LOT of great little bars and restaraunts in between.
