Guest jedione68 Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 Hello Guzzi's, Just finished putting my 2000 v11sport back togather. After complete tear-down. All new powder-coating and anodizing. I've made some upgrades to the engine and air/exhaust so I'm going to need a "custom" map for my PCIII. ENGINE MODS: 1. FBF 11.1 Pistons. 2. FBF standard "Stainless-steel" racing valves. 3. K&N's air filters # RC-1200 ( coned, about 3.5 inch W. by 5.5 inch L.) 4. Mistral's cross over and Carbon slip-on can's. 5. Power-Commander III. I'll need a new map before my re-start / break-in. Any one out there have a map thats close, I'd be really thankful. Also, down the road after the break-in I'd like to have her DINO tuned, I live in the Venice/Marina Del Rey (California) area. Are there any PCIII centers close by thats you guys prefer. Peace, JEDIONE68.

BrianG Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 I bought my PC III from Todd and got the custom map for my mods from him. I had the opportunity to put the bike on a dyno, and discovered that while the custom map was mostly OK, there was a section that was off-the-scale lean. I spoke to Todd about it and he said that there's nothing to replace a good dyno-session for building a bike-specific custom map.

And he's right, you have to spend some serious time on the Dino for the best map. I'll still need to find some thing close for my mods, cause I don't want to be breaking-in my engine at the same time I'm trying to map it. Unfortunetly it's going to be a 2 / 3 step process. Then after all that, I'll be back on the Dino with a Quad-Box mapping session. Know any Dino-Guy's who give 4 for 2 cash rates... just kidding. Peace, David
helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 I have a map for the same mods as you that I recieved from Ferracci but it also needed some dyno tuning to perfect. I will try to download it soon and send it to you. The Ferracci basemap was OK but as they all do it needed tweaking! P.S. I now have a Stucchi crossover and the map has changed but I still have the original for the Mistral crossover and it should help you a lot!
