Guest jedione68 Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Hey Guzzi's Well, there's always something that doesn't go right or breaks on your rebuild. And here's were my "Lady" luck landed. Just finished putting on the right barrels and heads, made my torques and adjustments. Then proceeded to re-hook up the oil lines and TEMP. Sensor and... CRACK. The black plastic that mounts to your right cyl. for your Termo cracks in half. Now I have two halfs in my hand and a nut (that it was cast onto) stuck in my head and no place to put my sensor. Any IDEAS out there. I was thinking about using two different size hose (kind of one inside the other) to re-attach her. Or try Super-Gluing the piece back together but... I don't know. Also, the nut looks next to impossible to remove. Any idea's? Ratchet??? Peace, Jedione68

orangeokie Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 . . . Or try Super-Gluing the piece back together but... I don't know. . . . 56645[/snapback] Go to any welding supply shop and ask for a tube dispensed "liquid" welding product (can't remember the name). It sets up harder than the plastic you are repairing. Much, much better than super glue.
jrt Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 JB weld? It works great on some plastics, but it will not bond to PVC.

JB WELD What does it bond to?Virtually any combination of iron, steel, copper, aluminum, brass, bronze, pewter, porcelain, ceramic, marble, glass, PVC & ABS, concrete, fiberglass, wood, fabric, paper -- just about any porous and non-porous material.
