orangeokie
It's truly amazing how much more complicated they have made these bikes just to meet emission standards. Temp sensors(2), throttle position sensors, bike level sensors which shut off the fuel if the bike is tipped over, and barometric pressure sensors to help the ICM modify fuel flow to the fuel injection system, Ignition timing sensor............The biggest culprit appears to be the barometric pressure sensor as the bike only runs badly once it gains altitude. Is this a California bike or 49-state bike. If California, is there that much difference from the 49-state systems?

Got an email the other day...He got a replacement Racing ECU and that seems to have fixed it completely. Bad barometric pressure sensor on the first one. wow. al_roethlisberger
Just as a clarification.... there is no such thing as a California or "49 State Version" of the MG V11 Sport models(or any other older MG model I would speculate). MG is such a small manufacturer that their low volume allows/limits: 1) They are exempt from some of the more stringent regulations from what I recall, such as a catalyzer 2) They do not have the resources to bother making a non-Cali emissions version, so they all are California compliant(see your swingarm sticker). al :5000
