gthyni Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 I needed a motorcycle for the snowy winter times, so I sold some stuff from my garage and used up some bonus money from work and got this little beauty: now I have 3 motorcycles, how stupid is that?
Guest Nogbad Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Not stupid at all. 3 isn't a lot of bikes, especially as yours are all designed to do widely different jobs. Now, if you had 3 V11s, that would be a bit different, and probably stupid.
Guest ratchethack Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Looks like fun to me. I've always wondered what would happen if you added just one more "gas" to one of these. Would you then have "Jumpin' Jack Flash?" Enquiring minds just gotta know...
gthyni Posted August 4, 2005 Author Posted August 4, 2005 Just took a test ride, fun, fun, but I am not confortable yet on the new machine so I'm probably just use 10% of the potential. It is 100 kilos and 38 bhp and gear for terrain usage so accelaration is on par with the Guzzi (up to 70-80 km/h perhaps). this is a picture how it looked when new: And mr Hack: when I get up to speed I hope to add the Gas to be jumpin' like mr Flash.
tikkanen Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Hi Göran, congrats with hthe GG(G) I thought you Swedes were Husky or Husaberg fans? How about the Highlander? Did it ever meet the production line or did it vanish into thin air? Søren
gthyni Posted August 6, 2005 Author Posted August 6, 2005 I thought you Swedes were Husky or Husaberg fans? How about the Highlander? Did it ever meet the production line or did it vanish into thin air? Huskys are Italian (Cagiva) these says and Husa is owned by KTM but still built in Sweden. Without a limited budget I would get a GG 450 or a Husky 510 four-stoke. Husas is very fast and competent but it take a powerful rider to get to the potential out of it. A happy camper like myself is more comfortable on a friendler and more agile bike. A 5-year old 2-stroke like mine is the most bang for the buck. How about the Highlander? Did it ever meet the production line or did it vanish into thin air? Highlander bikes är for sale at least here in Sweden, but they are heavy for my intended usage both in weight and in price tag prices and data (in swedish): http://www.hkp.se/nymotorcykel.html 124000 SEK in almost 12000 euro and 165 kilos
jrt Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Dude, that kicks butt. There's several people on this forum that have dirt bikes. They're a heck of a lot of fun; I took my KLR650 out for good thrashing this morning, in fact. woop woop!
