Guest MikeC
I finally got around to looking into things. Took the tank off and checked everything possible. All I noticed was the banjo fitting on the hose to the sump needed to be snugged up, same for the bolt to seal off the other side. Took a 150 mile ride today and all is well. Thanks to all that replied. Mike
jrt
Oh- one other thing. A couple years ago I did some work on my bike and had taken the starter off. Put it all back together, everything's good. A couple weeks later (and it's more into hot summer), I'm riding along some Wisconsin backroad and BOOM! Something blew. Scared the heck out of me. Come to find out, I pinched the vent hose that comes from the frame (the one you can see just in front of the tank) by routing it behind the starter. No blood, no foul, but it did scare me. Apparently, that is THE vent.
belfastguzzi
Apparently, that is THE vent. 61311[/snapback] Yeah: the one that feeds all the water and goo back into the oil sump.
