orangeokie Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 Is there anything tricky or out of the ordinary about installing the MG ti cans and ECU? I'm thinking about trying to find a set and install them myself. Does it require any other "tuning" of related components, (ie throttle bodies, etc), or is it just a simple plug and play system? I was fortunate to get to hear a set on an 02 LeMans at the Rolla, MO dealership (Interstate Motorcycles), and I decided right then and there, if and when I bought a V11, I was going to have to have these cans.
Admin Jaap Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 There are different sets i.e. ECU maps: pre '03 and post '03. You'll need the ECU with the post '03 map. If you only can get a pre '03 you'll have to load a different map. Only specific tuning centers can do this (together with dyno run).

bigbikerrick Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 Assuming I get the post '03 map, then is it a plug and play system? 60012[/snapback] My 2003(actually 2002) naked has a set of the Ti,s and accompanying ecu. it was strictly plug and play and it runs awesome, not a hiccup. Also the throttle response is crisp and powerful, much improved over stock!

st. augustine Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 I have an 02 Scura. I bought the Ti exhausts with the computer and it was easy to install. I don't recall getting any instructions with the brackets but after some trial and error they went on. It took a little while to get both of the cans to align when looking at the bike from the rear, but once done, they look - sound - perform great. I definately recommend the upgrade.
