If you find out please let me know as Helen's tank is scuffed up too. cheers Guy

richard100t Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 Theres some paint for the Rosso Mandello on ebay. There was a thread on this within the week. Try a search using Rosso Mandello paint.
al_roethlisberger Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I gave up trying to source the correct paint code, not that anyone in the USA would have been able to probably make heads/tails of it anyway So I just went to a pro motorcycle/auto paint shop, and they custom computer matched it perfectly when they painted my 2003 tank.... which I promptly chipped! al

Guest lowgloss Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 The factory colors are basecoat / clearcoat colors. The House of Kolor samples you saw were probably 3 stage (Candy) colors. These are expensive to spray and hard to repair without a complete repaint of the tank. Candy colors are however some of the most beautiful colors available. I posted in the past that PPG/Nexa Autocolour have a good motorcycle deck with a number of Moto Guzzi colors in. They also have a brand new update that has additional Guzzi colors although I haven't seen the chips, so can't comment on what was added.
