Greedyfly Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I am considering replacing the footpegs on my 2002 Lemans with Oberon footpegs. Does anyone have these on their bikes? Mine bike is Red/Champagne and I was wondering if the Oberon red matches the fairing color. I was also considering the gold colored pegs. Would be interested in seeing pics if any are out there. gthyni Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I have them red pegs and bar ends from Oberon, look at: http://kirra.net/v11/2005/ good quality products can't say anything about the colour match
belfastguzzi Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Goran which bike model is the equivalent fit for the V.ll? I found Oberon on a site called Demon Bikes, but the site isn't working properly. On Safari there isn't a scroll bar so I can't navigate down the page and on IE the text is all over the place. Wheree did you order from? One of my pegs is bent: I'd be happy enough to replace with stock if anyone wants to sell one/a pair, but are these Oberon 'nicer' – better looking, better feel? DB
belfastguzzi Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 StreetFighter Direct lists them for V.11, but only the pegs with steel studs
gthyni Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I bought directly from Oberon: http://www.oem-uk.com/acatalog/Moto_Guzzi_V11.html
Martin Barrett Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Goran One of my pegs is bent: DB 60492 ?
belfastguzzi Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 ? 60495 yes, I did hesitate when typing that how's your affliction?
Martin Barrett Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 yes, I did hesitate when typing thathow's your affliction? 60497 Jason is making me some ointment. Tantalizing glimpses, the orangeness of the tank yesterday, and the questionable orientation of your footrest. What has happened to “the Stickleback” is it metamorphosing in to “the Perch” or should that be “Peach”. I’ve even been to your hosted photos but I’m none the wiser
Martin Barrett Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 60501 I'll just have to see for myself next year then :sulk:
belfastguzzi Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I'll just have to see for myself next year then :sulk: 60502 ok, ok i'm aiming for a combination of this and this Associated story here

Greedyfly 60482 Just as a minor clarification, yours is the 2002 red/GRAY color scheme, whereas one like mine is the 2002 Champagne color. Take a look here to see the 02 Champagne color: http://www.pashnit.com/bikes/V11-Lemans.htm (Really bad, old image. ...need to update this page.) Sorry about the "nit", but I thought I'd just point it out BTW, as an alternative(and cheap one at that) the Buell peg conversion really is nice looking IMHO If interested, do a search for "buell" and you should come up with plenty of info. al
gthyni Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 2 reasons not to go for Buell pegs in Europe: - HD/Buell parts are not cheap over here - the Oberon race non-studded race pegs look really nice both in styling and finish, while the Buells certainly does not, IMHO and why do I need less clearence?

But the studded ones... I happen to think the Buel pegs are quite acceptable once the antennae are removed. Can't address when they touch down, but I was willing to give up a slight bit of clearance for comfort.
