jrt Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 tough guy, eh? 61566[/snapback] If by tough you mean ruggedly handsome, then yes. As long as they don't fight back, that is.
Guest ratchethack Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 I can't count how many times I've taken off on the Sport 1100i and forgotten to retract that damn sidestand. I've just been lucky that nothing bad has happened. MG used to offer an upgrade kit (Corsa's already got it) for a paltry $134 for the kit! I'm quite certain that I can do it for less. One of these days. Maybe. Or not. Carl, can you describe that upgrade kit? How does/did it work? Did it just provide the same function as the V11 stock setup? I've been thinking of bodging up a linkage that would prevent the shift lever from moving until the sidestand is up. Advantages over the stock setup would be: 1. Simpler all-mechanical design, not prone to electrical gremlins. 2. Doesn't kill the engine making a re-start necessary. Just a thought. Might become my next Guzzi workshop challenge. Any comments?
