jbuzbee Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Sorry if this has been asked, but what's the valve gear on the new motor: Hydro or Solid? If solid what's the service interval? I'm asking because I'm looking to replace my BMW R1150R some time early next year. Right now there's nothing new out there I like. However, the Griso and the new BMW R1200S are the only two that look promising for the near future. The spy shots of the R1200S have me worried though: the R1100S's design is almost Italian in it's simplicity and fluidity. The new R1200S looks a bit to German. jb
pete roper Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Solid lifters, basically same valvetrain as V11 Sport. The Hydro motor is, unfortunately, dead in the water. Pete
