big J Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 This thread is so far above my head, I can look up as far as I can and still not see it
Guest Nogbad Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 If it's JR's bike, just go straight for the rider, in which case it helps with 'the vapours'. 62838 I always thought the vapours was a female condition... is there something about JRT we don't know?

Guzzirider Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Bit heretical for a Guzzi forum don't you think? 62853 Yes it is a brainwashing anthem designed by Honda in the late 70s that made everyone go out and buy a CB900F or CBX1000. Luckily Joe Dolce's Shaddap You Face came along in 1981 to encourage to us to buy Italian iron instead of a chocolate cammed VF750. 'Allo, I'm-a Giuseppe, I got-a something special-a for you, ready Uno, duo, tre, quatro When I was a boy, just about the eighth-a grade Mama used to say don't stay out-a late With the bad-a boys, always shoot-a pool Giuseppe going to flunk-a school Boy, it make-a me sick, all the t'ing I gotta do I can't-a get-a no kicks, always got to follow rules Boy, it make-a me sick, just to make-a lousy bucks Got to feel-a like a fool and-a mama used to say all-a time What's-a matter you Hey! Gotta no respect What-a you t'ink you do? Why you look-a so sad It's-a not so bad, it's-a nice-a place Ah, shaddap-a you face
jrt Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 is there something about JRT we don't know? 62841 More than I care to admit.
belfastguzzi Posted September 7, 2006 Author Posted September 7, 2006 D.A. has never shown up on UK iTunes Store. I have just tried the USA Store – and there is some stuff. Unfortunately I can't get at it. 'Road to Cairo' is something that I've wanted. You should check it. You might hate it. Montana Song isn't there though Try here If you don't have iTunes I guess it won't work. If you get there, sample: Waiting for the Moving Van Love's Enough One Night Stand Another Friday Night My record player & records are packed away, otherwise I'd make a file and send it. If you are really going to Montana? Maybe that was just some sort of code, or rhyming slang? Did you go and have a banana? edit: I've made my order through Amazon now, so that's that. Well it's almost a year on, JR: time to check-up on whether you ever got hold of the delightful Montana Song? It did turn-up on the USA iTunes store, though it can only be downloaded with the album. That's no bad thing though. It eventually made it to the UK store, though the other 2 albums that are on the US store aren't here. If you didn't like it last year, you might like it now: being older, wiser and bushier of moustache. http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore...&i=59388243

At first I thought you were talking about Zappa. Doh! No, I haven't downloaded Montana song yet- thanks for the reminder- I'll do tomorrow. I'm listening to the Pogues right now...they sound Irish- are the actually? I gotta say, your suggestion of a certain previous band was....poor. Can't remember their name, they were that bad.

Are you sure you got the oldie stuff, not modern rubbish? Pampered Menial and At the Sound of the Bell http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_ro...sp?band_id=1103 Pogues: London Irish self destruction But never mind Shane MacGowan, I'm listening to Steve Goodman and you should too. If you can't afford to download the whole American Gothic album to get Montana song, then get one of these instead, while you save-up. mike wilson Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 For music of a certain type, I have found these folks 8-))) to be rather useful in supplying the hard stuff. http://www.freakemporium.com/index.html
jrt Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Interesting. I listened to Montana Song and a couple others off that album. It sounds like DA used Copland for some inspiration in his riffs. Time passes and I went out for lunch, including a stop by the local record emporium. Got super lucky and found Albert King "Lovejoy". Not his best album, but I've been looking for it for a couple years now and the cut 'My baby caught the katy' is just fabulous. woo hoo! And yeah, Pavlov's dog. Doesn't work for me. Not on any level.
belfastguzzi Posted September 9, 2006 Author Posted September 9, 2006 For music of a certain type, I have found these folks 8-))) to be rather useful in supplying the hard stuff. http://www.freakemporium.com/index.html String Driven Thing £8. Johnny & Edgar Winter £5. Freaky emporium. Pavlov's dog. Doesn't work for me. Not on any level. Not on any level? Not any level? ! But...that voice!? Time passes What time is that?
belfastguzzi Posted September 9, 2006 Author Posted September 9, 2006 Can't find this crooner on the Freaky Emporium. I'm disconsolate.
