Philmac Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 Jack To remove the piston from either master cylinder you need to use a thin bar as a punch from the banjo connection end. The piston is retained by a compressed ring not a circlip - you need to give the punch a good thump with a hammer to push the ring out. You will need a new piston/seal assembly whcih should be available as a service item. Getting the old piston out is relatively easy - getting the new compression ring to seat squarely is the difficult bit - a special tool would help a lot. Good luck!
