Guest jedione68 Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 Hello Guzzi's, Real quick. I have left the world of Mistrals and cross-overs and now am 100% a Quad-D guy (on v11's that is). And I cant tell you fellow Quads or none Quads how happy I am. But... My trusted "Moto Guzzi v11sport factory bike-stand" is now kind of useless. And I love this stand for maintence of oil changes, valve adjustments and or just good old weekend tear downs. And now life with a Quad means I have a dust covered, pretty much useless bike stand (stand hits the Quad to all none Quad Guzzist). Any idea's out there? I was thinking of having one of my Machinest buddies lower the cross-over support beam on the stand... but what if inturn the top (pork-chop holders) now flex's to much. And in turn, the bike comes tumbling down like Humpty-Dumpty? I'm all ear's. Peace, rubber side down. Jedione68
Guest Nogbad Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 I think you would find that the "ABBA" stand which picks up on the swingarm pivots will work fine with the Quat-D exhaust fitted. It has a similar action to the Guzzi stand. I'm sure you can find a Guzzisti on here who wants to buy your redundant Guzzi stand, and the ABBA isn't wildly expensive.
