Andre Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 Well gang, it took me ages walking in that dark tunnel of salvation, trying to reach the blur light at the end of it, but finally end up with this then you could say, hey what the heck is this guy coming in this forum dedicated to v11 ... well seven years ago when this project starts, v11 was just a fairy tale ... so when I saw the pictures in Magz of the V11 I say to myself sh.. what I'm gonna do with the wreck laying in the barn ! but keep going - now the project is swallow and the wallet hum ...yes the wallet is damn empty - I'm lurking (again) to a 2nd hand v11 that's why I'm on in this forum to get the best info. possible for my next generation of MG (maybe a nera corso). Ooh if necessary I'm from rainy Belgium, driving the right side of the road, drinking gooood beer and no the brussels' sprouts isnt a speciality ! cheers André
tikkanen Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 That's a coooool looking bike, André! Nice job, mate Søren
Andre Posted October 20, 2005 Author Posted October 20, 2005 That's a coooool looking bike, André! Nice job, mate Søren 63921 thank you vmuch as I said earlier, is time for me now to settle down for a 2nd hand V11 - preferably nera corsa - just fearing the behaviour of the injection vs my carbs version which is a "living experience" André
dlaing Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 No need to fear fuel injection. There are many solutions to the minor issues. The available fuel and ignition mapping tools available give you far more control than jets, needles and points. Go for it! ...But do NOT sell that beeeyuuuutiful bike!
soloNH Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 WELL DONE !! She really is a beauty, does my heart good to see something so clean and elegant!
helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I'm going to say pretty much the same as when I saw the picture of badmotogoozer's Ducati: Ohhhhh dude!!!!!!!
Guzzirider Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Nice one Andre! Looks mean and minimalist!! You have some great roads in Belgium- hope you get to enjoy it lots! Guy
big J Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Now THAT'S what Guzzi's new bike should look like. Beautiful,Andre
Andre Posted October 28, 2005 Author Posted October 28, 2005 All Was out of town for a few days so sorry couldnt reply before now ! yes I like it minimalist indeed - JRT - the tank was bought at www.thetankshop.com some year ago the first idea was to let the ally tank unpainted but I saw sooo many Guzzi already in that configuration that I change my mine the same for the saddle that I also bough from the same source which was resold later to a friend I'm still in the run in stage, and with 2k km on the clok it appears that the marzzochi is way too hard, so I dismantle it and I'm awaiting another pair of springs and then fiddle with the oil thickness/volume to have working ! originally it was a T3 !! but put a pair of LM I heads with twinspark and 40 dellorto carbs André
badmotogoozer Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Beautiful job! That is one stunning Guzzi you've built! Rj
Baldini Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 Andre, Great looking bike! The 7 years paid off! How about a full spec? Please. What are the pipes? Crossbow/PR copies in s/s? What is the front wheel? Brakes? Footrests...?..etc.... Thanks, KB This is my T3:
tikkanen Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 This is my T3: 66746 Baldini, is that a Norton seat you have mounted? Resembles the old Norton Commando or is it just me? Looks cool! Søren
Mal Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 What are the pipes? Crossbow/PR copies in s/s? What is the front wheel? Brakes? Footrests...?..etc.... Thanks, KB This is my T3: 66746 Baldini this fab looking bike is very similar to one of the HTM (or something liek that I think) bikes. Its a German company who build special Guzzis, the exhausts are made by them and I assume many of the other bits too. Been trying to find a web site link that I used to have which showed their bikes but can't find it (will look again tomorrow). They are still around, they were at Boxmeer this year (fab rally), love the style of these bikes. Mal
