v50man Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Seems like most of the Canadian Geese are closer to Vancouver, but just thought I'd ask. Any dealers of interest? Just curious. V50 P.S. You should really go back and read my last post in the "Bitches" forum. It regards a visit to a local H-D/Buell dealer.........
Guest Bruce Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 There is a very small MG dealer on Atwater which is pretty close to downtown. I haven't been there in a couple years so you may want to check to see if they are still there. Moto Internationale is worth visiting as they have just about every accessory and piece of riding gear available. Montreal is becoming my second home but unfortunately I will not be in town this coming weekend. Although it's a quiet time of year there is always lots to do... beautiful women, great food, lots of music and sports. Let me know where you'll be and what you like and I may be able to point you in the right direction. Bruce
v50man Posted October 26, 2005 Author Posted October 26, 2005 Bruce -- Gonna be in the port area I believe. The redhead planned the whole trip so I don't even know what she wants to do. I've got a small bit of business, then I guess I get led around. I'd personally be happy to drink too much and read the factory service manual for my new Buell. I hate art galleries, museums, etc. Is there anything "weird" or "macabre" in the area? Haunted houses? Places of interest that are offbeat in one way or another? Anything you can tell me about that isn't boring would be great. Thanx -- v50
Guest Bruce Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Weird you say? Ah, careful what you ask for around here as Montreal tends to really push the envelop. St Laurent Street certainly isn't boring, lots of trendy resturants ( Buena Nota is higher recommended for food and smokin' waitresses ), Just for Laughs comedy club, Le Swimming is an upscales billiards club, and lots of other stuff including TVs and cross dressers. I don't go out clubbing per se as its too wild for me. The gal that cuts my hair was telling me about a club where everyone goes in their underwear. She said it's really wild! Just ask around if you're interested but don't say you weren't warned. I go to a Jazz/Blues club which is a cool place, quite friendly, and everyone keeps their clothes on. Its known locally as Biddle's, I think the official name is House du Jazz. Watering holes? Well Winnie's and Ziggy's on Cresent Street cater to an old money Anglo crowd, so you can get hosed with the blue bloods who are plenty weird when you get to know them. The Old Port area is very nice but quaint and quiet. What ever you do don't sit around your Hotel room reading a serivce manual, Montreal ia all about having a great time.
