Guest jlburgess Posted March 17, 2003 Posted March 17, 2003 If you are having trouble with pulsing brake rotors and have the early style with the round holes and solid rivets, you may want to resubmit any warranty claims denied by MGNA. They apparantly fired someone over there who has denied a lot of claims, and my new updated rotors have arrived. Hurray MGNA!!!
Guest atl.guzzirider Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 Hmmm, My 02 Lemans w/5k miles is currently in the shop for front brake pulses and a tranny leak. While I waited the mechanic checked the rotors and rode the bike, while he definately felt the pulsations he said one was out 3 thousands or so and the other 5 or so, at that time he indicated for replacement minimum was 6 thousands - but he would try and see. After submitting claim it was denied and mg suggested servicing the front brakes(basically cleaning rotors, pads and lubing pins) which I think is a bunch of bull. I have yet to get the bike back but if brakes still are a problem I will do my best to get them to replace them before my warranty runs out as pulsing brakes on curvey roads at speed are definately a safety issue, my thought when riding a bike " tires & brakes = my ass ". Hopefully I will get mine back this Fri. 21st and will know more on the brakes - by the way Thanks for the Heads Up on this. Walt Bowen Champaign 02 lemans
