dlaing Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 See you there! I am up for some ecumenism... I had to look that word up: From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. The word "ecumenism" (also oecumenism, œcumenism) (IPA: /ɛkˈjuːmɛˌnɪzəm/) is derived from the Greek oikoumene, which means "the inhabited world". The term is usually used with regard to movements toward religious unity. In its broadest meaning therefore, ecumenism is the religious initiative towards world-wide unity. At a minimum, ecumenism is the promotion of unity, co-operation, or improved understanding between distinct religious groups or denominations within the same religion more or less broadly defined. Two general types of ecumenism are discernible. The interfaith ecumenical movement strives for greater mutual respect, toleration, and co-operation among the world religions. Ecumenism in this sense is discussed at great length under the entry on religious pluralism. This is distinguishable from ecumenism within a faith-group. One of the important theoreticians of ecumenism was a French priest and theologian Yves Congar.

A few of us will be having agape @ the Whiteman Airport Grezzy Spoon ~8:30AM. The entrance is off of Osborne Street. The first road east of San Fernando road. Look for San Fernando and Osborne. big J Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Is that a Guzzi engine in a modified featherbed? Good man!
dlaing Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Cool Photos!!! I'll try to hit the grezzy spoon, but I'll be riding with others who may have a different plan. If anyone is going from San Diego, we'll probably be leaving from Escondido and meeting somewhere for coffee.
belfastguzzi Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Is that a Guzzi engine in a modified featherbed? Good man! 65996 Why couldn't they make the Griso like that a real proper bike
dlaing Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Is that a Guzzi engine in a modified featherbed? Good man! 65996 Is the correct term loop frame, as featherbed refers to a Norton frame?
big J Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 It's hard to tell in the picture, but it certainly looks like a cut about Norton Featherbed frame. You could well be right tho,I've never seen a loop frame Guzzi first hand.
Guest SoCalDon Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 The Café Racer’s drunk uncle is the Bobber!
big J Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Nice pics, the difference tho,is that cafe racers are built to be faster than stock, not slower.
