Hi Van,

Thanks for the tip. I`ll get on the horn to MGNA and see about that certificate.

Winter`s on it`s way. Was out on Nov.11 and that was the last nice day but I`m hoping for at least one more so I haven`t put it up just yet.

Ciao for now

I've got the white power rear bit(No. 161), and Marzochi forks, but when I was in Mandello in '02 there was a Tenni in the reception with an ohlins suspension, but I guess it was a one off. I have all the paperwork too, for what it's worth, squished safely in a dictionary or something.

Hi Ferguzzi!!

You fellows on the other side of the pond probablly have the low down on what was standard and what was not. Giovanni seems to have a good handle on what was standard as well.

An owners manual....mmmm :food: must be nice!

And glad that you confirmed the White Power rear shock.. thanks

:bier:

Cheers

Van

ps.watch out for those slow moving Scura's :ninja: you'll blast past them without even noticing :race::grin:

FWIW, if your shock looks like this, it's a Sachs-Boge:

From what I've heard/read only the V11 prototype in '98 (?) had the WP shock.

Did you buy your Tenni new or used?

I simply wonder because we have yet to find a V11 delivered from the factory with any WP suspension, and wonder if someone added a WP shock aftermarket to yours and #154 :huh2:

Although the marketing docs did hype WP suspension on the V11 models, from what we can tell(several threads on this elsewhere) all the production V11 models showed up with Marz forks, and Sachs Boge rear shocks(excepting Ohlins equipped models starting with the 2002 Scura of course).

So yours would be a notable exception if it did come from the factory with a WP shock.

Of course, with Mandello, anything is possible though :D

Also, all 2002 LeMans based models came with the CF "dash" by default from the factory. In fact I believe *all* 2002 models did, but am not 100% sure if the base 2002 Sport also included it.

I assume you meant "single plate" versus "dry"... as all the V11 Guzzi's are dry clutches ;)

But yes, the Scura and Tenni both benefit(suffer?) from the single plate clutch.... love 'em or hate 'em :D

:mg: Dear Van,i don't know what rear shock you have fit on your bike but mine have a Sachs-Boge on original equipment. The major technical differences beetwen the standard Le Mans and Tenni is the clutch disk. Giovanni Polegato :bier:

Those Carbon cans being the ones Guzzi suply as oe....

the heavy metal ones clad in carbon pretending to be something they aint....

As anyone who follows this forum knows l'm a Tenni   nut. l always wanted a Guzzi :mg: and the Guzzi l wanted was a V11, l was just very lucky enough to get a Tenni!!  (yes l like all V11's, even the Scuras, l just like to keep them in their place :ninja:  thats all)

Tennis are unique in that only 170 where made, 150 was the original number but they incressed the run to 170.

Right from the start the Tenni was designed to be the "top of the Guzzi sport line"

with that very neat and special classic "racing" green paint job based on M.G.'s

As far as l know they are the only V11's that use a Marzocchi fork with titanium sliders.

They also came with;

Carbon Fiber exhaust cans,

two seats, one suede, the other black,

C.F. dash,

White Power rear shock,

each bike is numbered, with its # being on the dash pannel

each bike came with a "certificate of ownership" from M.G. and signed by President. Eng. Ivano Beggio

Anything else l've missed??

please let me know

I hate to admit my ignorance, but what is a Tenni and why did it get that name?

Hi cduzzi !

:mg: built a limited run (170) of these bikes to commemorate one of their premiere riders from their golden age of racing, Omobono Tenni. He was the first ltalian to win at lsle of Man, 1935 l think. The unique paint scheme is ment to replicate their paint schemes from the '50's and their famous 500cc V8 racers with the dustbin full fairings...........

apart from that, it's a fairlly standard issue V11 leMans with a cool distinctive paint job and a few neat things that std, LeMans dont have..............best of all, l have one!!!! :D

Cheers
