grossohc Posted April 11, 2006 Author Posted April 11, 2006 I booked through p and o ferries, stena lines fronm stranraer to belfast was over £100 when i tried
Martin Barrett Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 When I booked mine in February on line no discounts. I got it for £70-00 Fishguard - Rosslare on the Stena Europe - slow boat and I've gone for the 0245hrs crossing means I can RBR around Wales on Thursday, I can catch 3 hours kip on the crossing and then make my way to the camp site, pitch my tent, have a pint and a doze. This worked very well last year and to make it better this year I plan not to drop the bike on the ferry On the way back I've got the 2115 crossing booked. Last year arrived early and got on the fast cat, no upgrade cost. Not sure exactly what my return plans will be, might see about a transfer to a more northerly port.
big J Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 21-15? Jeez, you better bring a big tank bag if you're staying that long. There might not even be ferries in 21-15. Maybe we'll all be hovering about.

Guest PAULSMART Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Yipeee....!!! Got discount after a bit of searching - have booked the fast ferry services for £68.50. Friday 11.30 Sunday 15.00 http://www.stenaline.co.uk/stena_line/sten...ch_landing.html Paul
belfastguzzi Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Maybe we'll all be hovering about. 85783 Hovering, jiving, hipping and hopping...we'll be doing the lot if the recent MG Club committee's warm-up-to-rally-season meet is anything to judge by. Social Sec. Bob's dressed smartly, as ever. Which one is hairypony?
belfastguzzi Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 ...stena lines fronm stranraer to belfast was over £100 when i tried 85769 For some reason, this shorter journey is always more expensive. I'm looking at it for Spaen Bridge and it's showing £100 to cross the wee bit of water.

If I go, I think I'll go for the Larne - Troon crossing. Have you used it? Does it make much odds, compared to Cairnryan? The Belfast crossing would be much handier, but it's always been expensive.

belfastguzzi Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 OK Baldini I'm slightly worried about posting this in case the weather is bad and it's a washout, but really, you know that you've got to do 'the right thing'. Stop prevaricating and get your ticket booked. The Scottish trip has put me in the mood for a rip round the Beara peninsula and over the Healy Pass. You need to get that Scura in the mix.
Martin Barrett Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 How about a roll call? It seems that we'll be pretty well represented this year. From what I can work out the following forum members: Wambiker Grossohv Guzzirider and Helen on her V11 Duffo and Jim - is that Jim Forham I seem to think he's from same area? Paul Smart Guzzimeister Martin Barrett - hey that's me BelfastGuzzi I know Ferguzzi won't be there as will be sunning himself in his chaps in Nevada on a Harley. I assume BigJ and John O'Sullivan will also be there Anyone else?
Martin Barrett Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 For whatever reason, I phoned up 3 times re same crossing last year - got different price each time! KB 79170 How are you doing on sorting this this years crossing out?
gallo_se Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 How are you doing on sorting this this years crossing out? 90608 Still from 9th to 11th of june? I suppose you are landing in Rosslare, where are you going then? I maybe able to come for a day trip.
