mdude Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Gentlemen What is this, size, year built. Not online during weekend, så anyone who can answer this in an hour is the lucky one.
Baldini Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Looks like a CZ or Jawa or even a bit MZ like in spine frame...I have no idea - why are all these quiz questions small ugly2 strokes? not that i'd get any points if they were anything else....but they're just so dull...
Admin Jaap Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Not Eastern european. I can't imagine that Warsaw pact manufacturers were allowed to use Western German (Sachs) engines
badmotogoozer Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Bernardi. Early fifties? 175cc? Sachs or NSU..??? Rj
tikkanen Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Zündapp? Looks like one of the models from the Seventies. Speak up, Mdude! We are waiting for the next clue! Søren
mdude Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 Zündapp? Looks like one of the models from the Seventies. Speak up, Mdude! We are waiting for the next clue! Søren 68835 OK, guys. No correct answers so far. Next clue: The Sachs connection is correct and the assumption that it is not Eastern European is also correct. The brand is dead now, folded in the seventies. Tikkanen, you should crack this. EDIT: by the way, Baldini. its about ugly two strokes because everyone knows the gorgeous four strokes
mdude Posted November 29, 2005 Author Posted November 29, 2005 Well. This is slow..... New hint: What part of Europe do I ride in.......
Admin Jaap Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I can't find any Scandinavian bikes... Only Monark from Sweden and Nimbus from Denmark
Martin Barrett Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Tempo from Norway It's not a 1954 150 standard
mdude Posted November 29, 2005 Author Posted November 29, 2005 Tempo from Norway It's not a 1954 150 standard 68953 good boy, just subtle hints needed. The model isnt quite right though, but nearly impossible to tell apart from each other. Its a Norwegian (yes, really) Tempo 210 from around 1969, difficult to say exactly. Tempo built a large range of models in Norway from 1931 to (I guess) 1975. Engines from 50 (mopeds/scooters) up to 210 ccm. Rock solid bikes which the norwegian military also used for many years as patrol vehicles in temperatures below -20C. Popular on the countryside for tuning and hotrodding. Heres some pics. I say Mr Barrett has earned half a point??
Martin Barrett Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I was getting the clues mixed up with this one I was going to go for a Bofors Deuterium Oxide (Heavy Water) powered Rollmop maker. But Bofors is Swedish and Rollmops are Scottish At least the Heavy Water Has a Norwegian connection. - education by I suppose that's my half quiz point gone Today the weather on planet Martin is
Admin Jaap Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 We're not going to do half points! Either you are completely right or you are completely wrong. Sorry Martin, you didn't give a completely right answer, so you're completely wrong! ergo: no point! But our Norwegian quizmaster does get one because noone got the right answer.
