Guest SoCalDon Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Yes, hardy souls ventured out today for the Ride to the Look-Out in San Diego. Jon and Walter at the Skirball in LA; Rich hooks up down the road; We had a great meal and conversation ta-boot. Here Dave L. (the only local) makes the scene; Dave, Rich, Walter, Jon, Don The ride home got wet around Signal Hill where we put more gear on. We stopped in Brentwood again for gas and parting camaraderie. Walter will be shooting a movie in Mexico and won’t be back till spring. Good luck Wal. Need an outboard for the EV;
Guest SoCalDon Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Some Walter info.... Guzzi Walter on the "Perfect Storm": http://www.cameraguild.com/index.html?maga...htm~top.main_hp ...“Second-unit with Walter Lloyd at the helm carried a big workload and created some amazing shots,” ...
dlaing Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Here are some more photos of the five Guzzis at the Outlook. for full size go here and click on the thumbnails http://www.scripps.edu/~dlaing/v11s/lookout1106/index.html Weather was not too bad. Ortega Hwy was wet, but I headed up to Palomar Mountain which was dry and free of fallen boulders. Tomorrow will be a wash

Guest jedione68 Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Happy New Year to you all! Sorry I missed ya guys, But I did get to wave to a couple of ya fellow Guzzi's on your way down the 74 as I was going up. Rich "Who LAGN" saw me and flipped a bitch and in no time was on my tail. We had a chance to catch up, as I shovled down much needed Hang-Over grease. I was hurting this morning (Tequila shots and endless bottles of the Bubblies) and just couldn't get up until 10am, and I was feeling pretty darn queezy as I was pumping gas in to the beast this morning. I wasn't even sure if I was going to go until Todd said that Rich was waiting at the 76. I said to my self, I can't let Rich eat all that good food all by himself. Besides, I wanted to be able to take a snap shot of the BEAST at the Lookout to give a little RUB to all those who found this weather to... %$##@%$*& for ridding. I knew there'd be v11's all across the North and North East or even across the Pond who'd kill right now for some weather like this. "Cheers me fellow Guzzist, this rides for you!" So off TT Jim and I wentr into the wild blue yawnder, with quick peaks up at the sky every once in a while. Weather was great for the ride down south and up the 74 and all through breakfast (Did I mention there was like almost No traffic too!). But all perfect things must end and it did begin to sprinkle as we left The Lookout. And good old Mother-Nature decided it was time for a Typoon as we hit O.C. going North and she kept itup all the way into my garage in Marnia Del Rey. I was soaked. BUT... I was grinning like a kid who just came home from playing in the mudd. And for all those who miss my front fender (Ha ha ha)... she sure the heck wouldn't have helped today in the surround-sound/bodysprayer Typoony car wash and if ya look closely you'll see that Santa got this old Jedi a new set of BOOTS! Nice! It was a great day for a ride and I'm still smiling. Wish I could have seen David L., Don, Jon, Walt and who ever else made it up earlier. Glad ya made it home safe Rich. Cheers guys! The first ride of 2006 and we have 364 more to sqeeze in some more. Go Dog Go! Rubber side down, Jedione P.S. Since I went today, I'm sorry to say I'll have to miss next weekends. See everyone in Feb. 2006

Guest jedione68 Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Ok, how about this; Or this; This one's trouble; 72947[/snapback] Yo Don. I WANT ONE!!! Nice! We should become Pirates after all our "Boat" driving comming back on the 405 N. I thought I was going to find a big white whale casing me in the car-pool lane... And it was a pool. Goodtimes. And as your Sen'sa would say "Start your new year... With that of which you'd like to do more of, and you'll find inner peace." Jedi--- OUT
