I used my Black and Decker :

 

1. Grinded it carefully with a nylon brush.

 

2. Used the polishing disc and paste.

 

Even the cross-over looks like new !

 

Took me about 2 days , my wife thinks

I am realy hooked to the Guzzi now.

 

I will make some pictures later .

Looks quite shiny, I guess with a B&D is more effective and "easy" than using textile stripes' rubbing with the polishing paste.
