Guest Nogbad Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Don't worry. It doesn't really count until you're into double figures.Ahem. m 75908 It's too late anyway. I'm bidding for one on ebay, and am also waiting to see whether "the best Buell deal in the UK" is still available. That is a new XB12R for £6195 including a free "race kit" (whatever that is) and a year's free insurance.
v50man Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Nogs -- The race kit includes a high-flow air cleaner, a "race" ECM, an a more sonically-pleasing "race" muffler. All told, it really wakes up the bike. You'll like it... v50

Guzzirider Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 The guys on the Buell forum tend to recommend you do your own mods rather than buy the race kit- apparently it adds something like 1 bhp but obviously the noise makes you think its faster. If you want to look at some Buell porn take a look at http://www.britnett-carver.co.uk/trojanhorse/ Guy

The race kit is included fitted for free.
helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 You are supposed to stop me throwing myself over the precipice into multiple bike ownership... Not push me over the edge. What kind of friends are you?? 75891 I only have 8 bikes and I do not think of myself as a collecter. Jay Leno is a collecter. If you don't have room for all your bikes perhaps you have a mate who has some room in his garage (and a beer fridge). This is a very satisfactory solution as far as I am concerned!!
Guest Nogbad Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Well the megadeal Buells are still available. I am calling them in the morning again to put my deposit down. However - they have a blue one and a red one left at this silly price...... Which colour!!! Wife says blue, but I was initially drawn to the red..... HELP
helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 If you want a true, blue American bike then the choice is easy!
Ballacraine Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Which colour!!! Wife says blue, but I was initially drawn to the red..... HELP 75953 Whos gonna be riding it! Nige.
Guest Nogbad Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 I'm really struggling with this colour thing. Lucky they didn't have any black ones left. Come on, blue or red. Can I put in a poll?
badmotogoozer Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Red gets you more tickets... I can't see how one could go without at least three bikes... Rj
Guest Nogbad Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 I've created a poll. Sorry it isn't in the poll forum but I can't get everything right can I!
Frenchbob Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Just buy one, Nogbad. If you don't like the colour, you can always repaint it. There was a thread on here some time ago about that. Aerosols do it, if I remember right. Or should that be ars..........no, let it pass. You need more than one bike anyway. You have a V11, then........... You need one to ride in the dirt, one to go shopping on, an old Brit to ride and another to repair, or take bits off. Then you have to have an old Guzzi to see the difference [or lack of]....and a tourer............and probably a caff racer......a big Harley for when you're too old and fat to care.......and if your mate gets another bike you have to have one more or less the same to show him what a proper one is like. How many is that? I've probably missed a couple out, there.
V11UK Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Whoohoo.....another Buell (soon to be) owner on here. You won't regret it Nogbad. I've had my (classic ) S1 from new in May 1997 and will never part with it. Its in yer face, uncomfortable, noisy, and impractical but great fun . You must come to our main Buell meet at the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre on Saturday 22nd July. BTW I've voted for a Blue Buell in your poll .
Guest Nogbad Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 If Jaap has given the Tennista a forum, maybe we could have a Buell one in here too if there are a lot of people with one as well as their V11, or is that too heretical???
