How about a updated pic. That is a unique looking bike. A real costom, not a JP cycles custom.

Sorry Callison, your cooler is not bodging.

Seems to me like a superb piece of inventing, with a bit of scrapheap challenge thrown in for good measure.

Heath Robinson maybe, but bodging no. Sorry. The fact that there was no potential or actual damage to the bike and you could strip it off easily means it fails one of my crucial bodge tests: Namely, if you bought a bike with the bodge on it, you would get that sick worry about what else could be lurking in there unseen.

I vote:

No Bodge Points for the mobile swamp cooler.

One Bodge Point for the 30A fuse.

One Bodge Point for continuing to use the 7A fuse.

Just because you may eventually cook your ECU does not mean that you'll figure out the problem that way...in fact it will barely help the diagnosis, and it will just mean one more ECU for Cliff to use to make MY15s with. :bier:

The fuse bodge is really the same bodge though isn't it? I mean, he may have started off by swapping the original fuse for a roofing nail, and now he's got a panel pin in there. Still a nail, still one bodge not two. OK, if the ECU fries, I will consider an upgrade to a Golden Bodge Point.

I'm getting a better feel for this bodge point business. I don't want a point for this one because it's a little embarrasing. I built a custom seat for my Yamaha RD350 cafe racer back in the '70's. I didn't protect the wiring in the tailpiece from a bare sharp metal edge. The wires got cut through by the metal and the bike caught fire. In a gas station. I damn near strained a gut pushing it backwards to the edge of the parking lot.

Bad enough, but if you want tried and true stupid things to do, you can visit my humor page Truly Stupid Things To Do With A Motorcycle. They're all true, so help me Carlo Guzzi.

Don't worry I don't think retrospective awards are appropriate. It would devalue the process.
