velofish Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I know that some of you are active on the sportouring.net site, too. I am having a lot of difficulty in getting the site to load properly. Is anybody else having problems. or is it just my crappy, crappy, crappy, mojo box acting up again? Thanks, Fish

velofish Posted January 27, 2006 Author Posted January 27, 2006 Thanks, Paul. That's actually a relief to know. They are a good group over there. I have met a few of them in person and they were very cool to hang around with, and I generally kinda steer clear of riding with other folks. While I am blithering on, one of the funnest parts of being in that group was when we all started our bikes. I would wait until all the quiet four cylinders started with the usual whirr and then thumb the goose into life. WHUMP, thump, thump thump through the carbon mistrals. One of the kawasaki riders turned to me with a huge grin and said: "Damn! That's what a bike should sound like!" Cool guys. fish
al_roethlisberger Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Yeah, it's been a little flakey at times lately... al
Dr Gil Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Yeah, I'm having problems with ST.N also and I don't just think it's because I use Firefox for my browser. The administrator switched the site over to vBulletin just a few months ago hoping to get rid of some of the downtime. It ran fine for awhile and now they seem to be experiencing loading problems again...although the downtime is considerably reduced from what the old system did to us. ...and I agree, the folks at the Sport-Touring.Net are aces (much like the people here).
Orson Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I noticed that whenever UFO, the uber-administrator is online, it goes wonky so, maybe he's been tweaking the system.
velofish Posted January 28, 2006 Author Posted January 28, 2006 Was checking it out tonight and the site worked just fine. Thanks for the reassurances, guys. fish
