Guest friz Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Are you now "between Guzzis"? 76098 Don't know what I'm going to buy , like the GRISO
Guest Nogbad Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Don't know what I'm going to buy , like the GRISO 76102 I must admit to being rather torn between the Griso and the Firebolt, but I wasn't able to find a Griso to try, and when the really good deal came up on the Buell it was a no-brainer really. The V11 is staying though. I have an arrangement with my mother where I can leave one of the bikes in her secure garage, and nip up the 70 miles to swap them over when I want to change over bikes. Sorted. She thinks she'll see me more often so that i can do the odd jobs round the house.....

To be honest though, I tried out an R1150 rockster and compared with the Firebolt it handled like a grand piano, had really snatchy brakes (thank god for the ABS) and the motor was gutless and vibey. For all the world that R1150 motor felt just like the old Ural, more powerful but less civilised no kidding. Horrible.
Guest friz Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 the buell is so smooth once you roll about 25 feet !!
stogieBill Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 Friz, I know you've had the Scura on the block for a while. But I'm sorry to see it go. I think you were the closest to me with another Scura. Do you mind telling us why you decided to get rid of her? Happier Trails in the future.

not_scooter_Scura! Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 sold the old girl last night little sad hope the new buyer enjoys her !!!! 76095 ahh... I did the same, Sold the Scura but had to keep the Duke. The buyer was already planning a ride longer than what I was doing in a year... sad, but still happy with my Machiato Duke - sometimes you need full cream coffees, sometimee short blacks. maybe the Griso will be for you when you need a l o n g black? till then it's SuperMoto time.
