Temps are around 8-10C which is remarkably warm for November/December. No sign of snow yet

A month ago I was in anchorage for business - temp. hung between zero to 12° but didn't seem "cold"! what's with that. I mean, it was cold but bearable. It was sunny, bright, and dry.
