Frenchbob
OK I'm elderly, and not infrequently inebriated, but I don't understand this avatar thing. Jaap says we can't use images from other sites [fair enough], Dave Laing stole Ben's, and that was OK, apparently, for a while. The I've noticed that some people post what are clearly their own photos as avatars. Others clearly want us to think they have, or haven't. Others have something symbolic. Personally, I'm convinced at the moment that Jaap's avatar is actually him, but am I to be disillusioned? Shouldn't people come clean about this? Are there no rules? Am I worrying unnecessarily? I mean, mine is actually me, Helicopter Jim's is clearly not him, but there's a wealth of confusion in between. Admin Jaap
Don't worry too much...Using your own pictures is the "safest" thing to do copyright wise. If you use pictures from another site, do it wisely, and download them first. Then upload them to this site. Do NOT link them from the maker's site. BTW, that's not me in my avatar, but a very funny character from a famous dutch TV show.

I think it's nice if you can use something personal as your avatar. ie Jim's helicopter tattoo or my "goose with my bike in Holland"

(The actor's name is Wim de Bie from the comical duo Koot & Bie; they were really big in the 70's and 80's) edit: I just noticed Paul's post... Frenchbob
So that is actually your cock. I don't believe the infamous TX avatar to actually be himself. 77512[/snapback] Let me say here and now that if there's any innuendo about my cock I shall remove it from the forum. His name's Serge and, although elderly, he still sticks up for himself........ I DO believe the TX avatar is himself, and would like to go on doing so.
