Guest vratbastard Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Did the K&N filter pod mod today, couldn't believe how easy it was! Now my only question is where do I put the air temp sensor thingy? I now this is kinda of a custom deal (to each their own). Just curious to see what other's have done, and what had worked (most importantly). I know that I won't reap the full benefits of the mod till my PCIII box comes but, man what a marked difference. Definately worth the $56 I paid for the filters! That Guzzi intake sound is cool too. Now if only I can figure out how to redo these stock cans, to bring out that beautiful exhaust note!

No but, really I was thinking about that. At the moment I've just got it tucked up underneath the tank. I'd like to get it as close to on of the air filters as I can though. Thanks for the info.

I like to see how things work. I guess no more side panels unless special brackets are made up?

coz1100 Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Not to steal the the thread but, I've been thinking about doing the K&N mod, and was wondering if anyone has used these things in the rain. If so, any trouble with water getting in ?
Mal Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 I've used K&N pods on my V11 through torrential rain and wind (last year going to the Guzzi Scottish rally) and there was no problems. Mal
Admin Jaap Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 No problems here too: More info on air intake in the FAQ: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=461
Paul Minnaert Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 I've seen them soaking wet, at a running bike, I wonderd where the air came through, but it worked.
jrt Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 I don't even use a film canister- I just zip-tied the resistor to a lug on the spine.

DeBenGuzzi Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 mine is just tucked up under the tank, should I protect it better? somehow?
