Looks nice, Guy.  Aluminum polishes up very nicely.  Did you do anything to it to prevent the inevitable oxidation that attacks raw aluminum with a vengeance?

Well that was nearly a year ago, and Helen has ridden that bike in all weathers and there has been no oxidation at all- the only thing I do is wax them whenever I clean the bike.

Guy, that's what I was lookin' for! What kind of wax are you using that stands up to the heat of exhaust? :huh2:

Autoglym- not sure if it does stand up to the heat of the exhaust, but I also use Scottoiler F365 spray in the winter on all the cycle parts which keeps 'em corrosion free.

Roads are salted more or less permanently from November to March here. :bbblll:

I'd say that's one hell of a testimonial!

Many thanks!

It is good. I used it when I lived in the UK on bikes I rode over the winter, and it works [My Triton survived two winters of salted-roads riding, mainly because of it - pic taken after such abuse]. The film washes off quite quickly, so you have to keep re-applying it. It also protects outdoor wood!

Thanks, Ryan: you're a man of taste and discrimination! I would bore you with many details but I'm a Triton obsessive and we haven't got all night...and this is a Guzzi forum!
