Van Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Ok? so l'm sure that this has been covered before but........l just got 4 relays from DESIGNTECH (very helpful, very fast, very inexpensive, and ...don't worry, send the $ once you get the goods) ok, so now l've got them, where do they go? standing next to the bike on the side of the relays, (throttle side) and looking down, reading left to right, the Siemens relays are #A302, A402, A402,A302,and A403....this last one is the only one with 5 pins,in a combo of 3 vertical pins above 2 horizontal pins, all the other Siemens relays are 4 pin, 2 vertical & 2 horizontal, So, which ones do l toss and why only 4 relays to change and not 5?? and yes, if l sound like an electrical dufuss, , it's 'cause l am So help!! Cheers van
macguzzi Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 You should just change all five, check out the relay threads in the search on this site
stormsedge Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Van, toss them all but the five pin...your new ones should all have five pins-they interchange. Order one more and replace the old five pin. In the interim, if you have a problem with electrics--swap the old out of its original spot with one of the new ones and that will probably cure it. I'm not a 'tron guy either, but that's what I would do. k

(and you will of course because you will order a fifth relay)
