  It reminds me of a cartoon character,

 

 

Speaking of cartoon type chraracters. There used to be a kid show , that had a Giant turtle with rockets in his ass. He was always saving Japan from something.

 

Well, who was that turtle ? This is worth a Quiz point.

That one's easy Tx. Gamara (Gamera?) they flying turtle. He was always saving two kids from attack by Godzilla, Megadon, or Mothra. Cheese-mo-riffic show. You could see the strings and the smoke go toward the top of the screen when he was "flying" in "space". I spent many youthful sundays watching bad Japanese monster flicks.

Motha [or Nut Grass] (Cyperus rotundus)

 

Botanical Description: A perennial, stolaniferous, rhizomatus, halophytic sedge. Rhizome many, slender; Tuber-white, succulent when young, hard and black when mature; stem-leafy at base arising from a tuber. Culm-dark green, glabrous. Leaf dark green above, with reddish brown sheaths, clustered at the base of stem.

 

Medicinal Uses: According to the Ayurveda, root is pungent, acrid, cooling, astringent, appetizer, stomachic, anthelmintic and useful in treatment of leprosy, thirst, fever, blood diseases, biliousness, dysentery, pruritis, pain, vomiting, epilepsy, opthalmia, erysipelas etc. Also used to lubricate constant velocity joints and prevent peeling of engine case paint.
