Guest golden goose Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Well, today actually started yesterday with, what might be here, some heresy. Took the new K1200S over to Evoluzione and had Ken kit the bike out with his new race air filters and Leo Vince exhaust. Good for about 10% more power. Totally free flow now. Dynoed, the S kitted out this way kicks out 159hp at the rear wheel. So, since this took all of yesterday given that Ken's shop is 108 miles away, today was the day to give it a try. For years, I didn't really think a bike could handle as well as my Lemans, but this one is in a class by itself. The extra power is present right off idle so you get a now seamless 9-10k powerband, and what this does is simply unreal! WOW doesn't even do it justice. So the day was spent riding the Ortega Hiway, down to Temecula and up Riverside County R3 to Hemet and then up Mt. San Jacinto and then back to the coast. On the last passing zone on the return trip on Ortega, passed a line of cars and Harley's over 1/4 mile long with terminal velocity 160mph on the speedo. Had 2k rpm to go. Can't crack 125 on the Goose......but the S will never replace it. Have no fear.

Tracey Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 "Woke up, got out of bed, draged a comb across my head" Had breakfast with Debbie.. Rode the BMW, parked it then... Went riding with RichT100 A pair of Guzzi's looking for trouble! Or was that a speeding ticket we were looking for?
st. augustine Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Today was the usual Sunday type day around here (Florida). One has to do the domestic things...take the wife to morning coffee and breakfast, walk by the Church feeling guilty for not being inside, stop by the Home Depot Store and pick up some potting soil (that threw out the old back!), and get some yard work done. I tell you, it was hell. Wanna know why? I live off of highway A1A about 45 miles north of Daytona Beach....know what that means? It means the sound of over 100,000 mc's heading down to Bike Week reminding me every minute that I should be out there myself (the other 400,000 truck/trailer their bikes down the interstate). I know it’s the journey and not the destination, but hey...when you ride everyday one needs a destination! So will head off to Key West on Wednesday, and then come back through Daytona on Saturday. Some body has to go the extra mile. Oh yeah, back to the topic...later my daughter and I rode our bikes over to the movie theater and watched the new Ultra Violet movie. Came home and cooked dinner for the yard/gardening goddess (salad of mozzarella and tomatoes, stir fry for the entrée and Riesling wine…hey, sort of an international American dinner). Tonight will probably watch another segment of the PBS “History of Jazz” by Ken Burns from a DVD my buddy lent me. Then I’ll finish up the latest Robb Report Motorcycle magazine then hit the sack. Hope this helps on the thread.
TX REDNECK (R.I.P.) Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 woke up , had a smoke & then Pedro knocked on the door , sprayed air freshner. Pedro says he want to worky today, I said " Si, mucho trabajo " he said " Si ". Pedro says can he have some $ ? I said " Aren't you illegal ? Pedro says the Chicken " muy bueno " I said " Si, is much better than money " I then took a couple of muscle relaxers & drank a six pak & went to bed . When I got up Pedro was gone. And now I'm looking around here.
jrt Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 This was the first quiet day we've had in awhile. Catalina (our newborn daughter) has a terrific allergy to what we think is cow's milk (we're still pinning it down) so we haven't gotten much sleep lately as she has been very uncomfortable. After changing her diet- I'm hoping it's clearing out (touch wood). Anyhoo, up early, toast and coffee for breakfast. It snowed and rained last night so I cleared the walkway of that heavy, heavy crap. Lounged. Lounged again because I'm a scientist and feel that experiments have to be reproducible. Then I converted some old film (8 mm) of my family from the 1950's and 60's into a DVD, so my mom and brother can have a good laugh at ourselves (My brother and I were very young...I think he had ADD from looking at the tapes). It was nice to see my Dad and Grand-dad again- they have both passed away several years ago. Lounged a bit more. Catalina was very quiet and sleeping all day- as long as she was being held. So I held Cat and lounged some more just in case. Read some Jim Thomson, because that much good stuff should be counterbalanced by some evil. Did a few diaper changes so that end should be taken care of (no pun intended). Listened to a bunch of music- including Commander Cody (on vinyl). Then I finished off the day by putting the chassis and output transformers on my soon-to-be-new EL-34 PP valve amplifier and soldered in a couple easy wires. I'll take care of a few more later. Then I logged on here. Now it's time for bed and a bit of lounging after that stressfull day so I'm having a wee dram of Lagavulin.

WHO can find the coolest sh*t on photobucket. I swear to god there is some sick twisted sexy gross stuff all over that thing. Wholesome nothing. You can't directly search for pornographic material but think of it like that 3 girl carwash thing. I aint even trying yet
Steve G. Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 In the morning I went to the jewelery store to continue negotiations to trade in my company 25 yr Omega quartz for a more expensive Seamaster chronograph. In the afternoon, my pager went off, and was dispatched to re-glaze 2 commercial doors at a business, where, because I arrived before the police finger print guy, I was then fingerprinted myself, to eliminate my prints as potential B&E suspect to the job I repaired. This evening, domestic duties around the house, sipping California Merlot, while listening to Boston 1, loud Ciao, Steve G.
