My first guess would be a loose exhaust manifold, or the exhaust rubbing against the motor or frame. I like those ideas because they are easy to fix. Please let us know what's up.

A bit of a long shot but try checking your horn

I had a similar rattle between 1500 and 1800 rpms. It was made by the left horn too near to the regulator (?). All ok now, my Café Sport is perfect.
