No

it's in the calendar

and I found this news item from last year:

" Plans in place for new Ulster Road Race (09/08/05)

A meeting will be held in the Working Mans club, Ballynakelly, County Tyrone on August 16th, at 8PM where it is hoped an organising body can be formed to run a new real road race in Northern Ireland.

A new road race circuit in the Bush area, has been recently inspected by the MCUI Safety Committee, and has been given approval. With the Carrowdore and Temple Road Races falling by the way side in recent years, and the Dundrod 150 merging with the Ulster Grand Prix to form the Bike Week, race fans in the North of Ireland only have five individual events to look forward to at present.

Meanwhile, the sport continues to flourish in the South of Ireland, with recent additions to the calendar including Athea and Faugheen plus a new race, known as the Ballybunion Road Race expected to take place near Tralee later this year, on top of the five existing events in the South!

Whilst it is encouraging to see such enthusiasm for our sport with willing volunteers prepared to run events all across the Emerald Isle, there are some people who are beginning to think that there are now too many races in the season and the old adage of quality over quantity should be adhered to."

I haven't been able to see the video yet as that dreadful media player keeps stalling. Is no one else having that problem? The farthest I get is the second corner.

Edit: seen it at last, on nth attempt. Lummie. Tight wee course right 'nuff. Wonder will they stop the oncoming traffic on the day of the event?

Could this be used for the new 'On any Sunday' movie.

Back roads, wet, muddy with plenty of roadkill what fun. Seems as if anyone could win this stuff, horsepower and trick supertuned suspension not the issue here. Road skill and guts the order of the day.

BTW I emailed the organisers in the reply there was this little titbit of extra info I though I might pass on

' a few alterations have been made to the circuit since then (since the video) hedges removed. telegraph poles to be removed shortly. some resurfacing work to be carried out. '

Hope it all comes together for them!
