belfastguzzi Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Have you seen the Flash movie of the 3-wheel leaning scoot on Piaggio site?
mdude Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 weird, but it looks fun. couldnt find anything more about it, though.

belfastguzzi Posted March 15, 2006 Author Posted March 15, 2006 The VW doesn't appear to do the leaning thang.
Guzzirider Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 The VW doesn't appear to do the leaning thang. 82297 I would have fun trying!
belfastguzzi Posted March 15, 2006 Author Posted March 15, 2006 I would have fun trying! 82298 This sorta thing has been shown plenty of times before and I'm inclined to favour it, even if the VW does come with a 3' wide back tyre. This neatly links back to the Quiz Forum with Trabant and Fiat engines, but in reverse.

There is a crash damaged Grinnal Scorpion at the local breakers for £3950 if someone fancies getting their hands dirty: http://www.rsmotorcycles.co.uk/pages/GRINNALL.html Guy
waspp Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Changed my mind. I favour this 82308 That has got to be slick Russian technology....what the heck is that? waspp
antonio carroccio Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 I hope this scooter will not get on the market yet. I can imagine all the teenagers here in Holland going too speedy on these machines around the roads
belfastguzzi Posted March 16, 2006 Author Posted March 16, 2006 That has got to be slick Russian technology....82341 The masters of bodge on a grand scale.
Skeeve Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 That has got to be slick Russian technology....what the heck is that? 82341 No telling, but I'm guessing a heavy-lifter weedwhacker along the Sikorsky sky-crane theme? Obviously, no actual lifting from hover, just cargo transport to unimproved fields. Think about it from the Sovietski P.O.V.: a bazillion acres of taiga with no way of moving stuff in or out except by helo. You can fly a commando of sappers armed with chainsaws in one of these things, rappel them down, & have a landing space cleared for it to set down before it can make it back with the field hq, kitchen & showers on the second trip. The Soviets were famous for that, whipping up a single-purpose brute-force attack kind of tool. Gotta keep the proles busy, you know! I hesitate to think what the fuel consumption on that thing was!
