Have you seen the Flash movie of the 3-wheel leaning scoot on Piaggio site?

The VW doesn't appear to do the leaning thang.

I would have fun trying!

This sorta thing has been shown plenty of times before and I'm inclined to favour it, even if the VW does come with a 3' wide back tyre.

This neatly links back to the Quiz Forum with Trabant and Fiat engines, but in reverse.

Duffo who has posted on here a coupla times built a Guzzi powered 3 wheeler- not sure if it was a JZR or a Triking.

There is a crash damaged Grinnal Scorpion at the local breakers for £3950 if someone fancies getting their hands dirty:

No telling, but I'm guessing a heavy-lifter weedwhacker along the Sikorsky sky-crane theme? Obviously, no actual lifting from hover, just cargo transport to unimproved fields. Think about it from the Sovietski P.O.V.: a bazillion acres of taiga with no way of moving stuff in or out except by helo. You can fly a commando of sappers armed with chainsaws in one of these things, rappel them down, & have a landing space cleared for it to set down before it can make it back with the field hq, kitchen & showers on the second trip.

The Soviets were famous for that, whipping up a single-purpose brute-force attack kind of tool. Gotta keep the proles busy, you know! :P

I hesitate to think what the fuel consumption on that thing was! :homer:
