Greg Field Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 The parts books list a separate part number for the lower triple clamp used on the Coppa and Cafe Sport, presumably 'cause they have Ohlins forks. I have measured and looked at both mounted on bikes, side-by-side, and can't spot any meaningful differences between the two. Do any of you know why the Ohlins forks from a Cafe Sport would not fit in Ballabio triple clamps?
Admin Jaap Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Don't know if it helps, but the triple clamps of my '02 Le Mans fitted the Öhlins without problem. No difference there.
Wick Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Wouldn't Agostini know the answer to that question? They were able to come up with the complete parts list for my Cafe Sport front end conversion that the Haven's are doing for me. Wick
Paul Minnaert Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Both forks are 54mm, and can be changed. The other way: if they are 54mm both, why shouldn't you be able to exchange them? they have the same paintcolor? No difference in steering damper mounting? Dont think so either, because the ohlins damper fits instead of the bitubo.
kenm Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Hi Greg, The Ohlins forks from a Cafe Sport that I got from Paul went right into my 2000 V11S triple clamps. I think that your Ballabio triples will work too. Regards, -ken
