oil leak

I seem to have developed an oil leak behind the cover on the front of the motor.Looks like a stator coil behind the cover. I would assume that there is a crankshaft seal behind it of some sort?How diffcult might this be to replace and what is involved?

I always seem to get in trouble when I assume something, especially with motors....any guidence or help is always welcome!

I had an oil leak at the front of my 02 lemans at 2400 miles, the dealer put a new front crank seal in under warranty. 1200 miles later it is still dry.I have read about this problem on this sight and others, so it is probably pretty common. The dealer told me it just looked like it was put in poorly at the factory. good luck.
