quazi-moto Posted April 28, 2003 Posted April 28, 2003 Howdy everyone! I already have Staintune mufflers on the '02 LeMans and I'm thinkin' 'bout gettin' a Stucchi X-over and maybe a FBF airbox conversion. The question is: Will I need a PCIII? A while back the service tech at the dealership where I bought the bike said he can download custom maps. Which choice to make I ain't got me a clue. I just want to ride a sweet running and sounding LeMans. Thanks in advance.
Guest NOMODOC Posted April 28, 2003 Posted April 28, 2003 I have FBF air box replacement, FBF carbon fiber Cans, and Stucci crossover on my 2001 V11. It really came alive after PC3 with custom mapping. If you are adding all the good stuff go for the custom mapping.Igot 84 HP and 68 FTLBS. Very fast and incredable driveability with an incredable sound! GO for the complete package. The 'down loaded" map can never equal one developed by a good hand on a tuning linc equipped dyno. quazi-moto Posted April 29, 2003 Author Posted April 29, 2003 Thanx NOMODOC! It sounds like you're running a similar setup aside from the cans. I take it that those HP and torque figures are at the wheel. Those are good numbers!
Guest NOMODOC Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 Yes,at the wheel is where most dynos read. These particular numbers are the best so far obtained at a very experianced dealer and have prompted them to only use Stucci crossovers in future projects. These numbers demonstrate the differance in indivdual bikes and show the value of custom mapping. The differance from stock performance is unreal and far greater than the numbers indicate. The very broad and flat torque curve makes the throttle response great and makes the bike tremendous fun, much more so than the previous downloaded map. NOMODOC
